The Forum opened with a dedicated day on Equine Sports Medicine, moderated by Dr. Ali Al- Suwaidi (UAE, Equine Veterinary Specialist).

Sessions included presentations from Dr. Marta Alonso (Spain, Equine Physiologist) on conditioning horses for long-distance competitions, and Dr. Pierre Dubois (France, Veterinary Researcher) who highlighted advancements in injury prevention and recovery methods.

Dr. Fatima Al-Nuaimi (UAE University) spoke on nutrition and hydration strategies under desert climate conditions, while Dr. Ahmed Khan (FEI Veterinary Committee) reviewed the latest updates on anti-doping and welfare regulations.

This opening day emphasized the UAE’s leadership in placing horse welfare at the heart of endurance racing.

Day 2 was devoted to the International Endurance Rides Conference, chaired by Mr. John Robertson (FEI Endurance Committee). Sheikha Maryam Al-Qubaisi (UAE, Endurance Rider & Trainer) shared her perspective on rider preparation and strategy, while Mr. Luis Fernandez (Argentina, Race Organizer) presented best practices in course design and logistics.

Dr. Sofia Martelli (Italy, Equine Vet Official) discussed veterinary supervision in multi-day rides, and Mr. Khalid Al-Mansoori (Emirates Endurance Federation) showcased the role of technology in monitoring and timing systems.

The day reinforced the importance of international cooperation and knowledge sharing in raising standards for endurance racing worldwide.

The Forum concluded with the Arbitration Conference, focusing on the legal and regulatory framework of equestrian sport. Moderated by Dr. Hassan Al-Hajeri (Qatar, Sports Law Expert), the session included Ms. Claire Dubois (CAS Arbitrator, Switzerland) who reviewed key international arbitration cases in endurance racing. Mr. Mohammed Al-Kaabi (UAE, Equestrian Federation Legal Advisor) examined national arbitration procedures, while Prof. Elena Rossi (Italy, University of Bologna) presented on ethics and athlete rights in arbitration. The final discussions stressed the importance of transparency, clear governance, and effective dispute resolution mechanisms to protect both equine and human athletes.
